The Development.

A unique collection of prestigious, architect designed new homes, The Village at Fasque will incorporate modern, sustainable & highly contemporary design using ultra efficient smart home technology and environmental control. Built at a low level, in keeping with the surrounding landscape, the first nine homes are set within generous grounds, big enough to accommodate the houses within expansive private landscaped gardens.

In keeping with the agricultural heritage of the site, metal cladding and stone will be used to complement their surroundings, giving the properties a traditional yet contemporary appearance. All properties have been designed to have two wings, one for sleeping and one for living, in either a ‘T’ or an ‘L’ shape and of course, the interior design can be altered to create your very own ‘dream home.’

The History.

Fasque Estate first appears on Roy’s map circa 1745, which shows the original ‘Faskie’ house at the end of an avenue of beech trees, planted at the same time. At around this date, a formal garden landscape was located to the south – east. Built in 1809, the current Fasque Castle commands an illustrious history.

Grand yet warm and inviting it was once owned by the British Prime Minister, William Gladstone. Gladstone is said to have loved Fasque and spent as much time there as possible, often walking the 15 miles from Banchory Station in Deeside to the estate. It was a place that the often visited later in life when visiting Queen Victoria at the nearby Balmoral Castle. The estate remained under the ownership of the Gladstone family until recent years
